Motorman's position - Chicago Rapid Transit 1024

The second-oldest electric car in the collection of the Illinois Railway Museum is Chicago Rapid Transit 1024, an open-platform "L" car built in 1898. This is what its motorman's cab (note left-hand running) looks like. The car has C36 control and an M23 brake valve. Note too the Van Dorn coupler link sitting on the floor.
