Where the Main Line ended.

A view from the Toll Gate Bridge, Roslindale, of an 0900 series Number 10 Main Line Elevated car, sitting in dead storage at Forest Hills Yard. The 1928 era steel cars, manufactured by Wason, were compact, steel cars, which saw much use on the steel girders of the "El". This location is where the Main Line ended, at the opposite side of Tower H from Forest Hills Station, adjacent to the Toll Gate Cemetery.

Photographed by Paul Joyce, 1976.
Added to the photo archive by Paul Joyce, June 25, 2006.
Railroad: MBTA.
