5106, ex Boston Elevated Railway, ex Metropolitan Transit Authority, ex Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, current Seashore Trolley Museum snow plow on the museum's right of way at Kennebunkport, Maine. This car, built in 1907 by the St. Louis Car Company under a J.G.Brill Company patent, was designated a Type 3 Semi-Convertible by the Boston Elevated Railway. For many years, it carried passengers in Boston, and in 1928 the BERy converted it into a snow plow. It served well for many years as such, plowing right-of-way as well as station platforms with its added "wing" plows. It has been picked up by the museum and is a well-running, almost 100 year old car, a testament to its builders and those entrusted with its care.
