Illinois Railway Museum - The First Car

Indiana Railroad 65 is westbound at Seamann Road out on the Illinois Railway Museum's main line on a July 31, 2004 fantrip.

This was the first car ever acquired by IRM, then known as the Illinois Electric Railway Museum, in November 1953. Over 50 years later, IRM has grown to become the nation's largest railway museum with over 400 pieces of equipment. Indiana Railroad 65 was built by Pullman in 1931 and was later Cedar Rapids & Iowa City 120.
