Streetcar Parlor Car "City of Manchester" at Seashore Trolley Museum

Streetcar Parlor Car "City of Manchester" at Seashore Trolley Museum, in Riverside Barn. This sing;e-trucked streetcar was used extensively for tourning the streetcar line in Manchester,New Hampshire when it was in operation around the turn of the century. The car his since been restored to running condition. At the time, for a small car, air brakes were not an option. This car has hand brakes, a lever wich pulls on chains to activate the brake shoes, a practice common on early (pre-1910) trolleys.
