Car 2600 Sign for Passengers

Montreal Tramways Car 2600 Interior photo
This is a sign for passengers in both english and french warning them that conductor did not have to make change for more than 2.00
Montreal Tramways built these newer safety-cars in an attempt to make 2 person crews a thing of the past. Interestingly enough, Montreal Tramways kept 2 person crews up to the last years of service.

Car 2600, built in 1929 for use in Montreal on Montreal Tramways was operated there until 1959. After that, the Connecticut Trolley Museum recieved the car and is seen here during a training run. Imagine the thousands and thousands of people that rode this car in Montreal, and at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. She certainly is an excellent workhorse to the museum's fleet of trolleys!
