Lake Shore Electric - Pittsburgh Railways 4145

This Pittsburgh car, built by Pressed Steel in 1911, is known as a "Jones high-floor car." In 1940 it was rebuilt into a work car and was acquired by the Magee museum in Pennsylvania in 1970, which had just finished restoring it when the museum was virtually wiped out by Hurricane Agnes in 1972. Since this photo was taken the car was moved to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum near Pittsburgh. Photo by Jim Vaitkunas, posted with permission.

Photographed by Jim Vaitkunas, 2007.
