This is cable car 22 as it gets ready to be turned on the turntable at Powell st and Market st. This car runs on the Powell St line. Car 22 was built in 1887 for the Ferries & Cliff House Railway (Powell Street Railway). the car was rebuilt by the Muni's Elkton shops, in 1956. This is the only National registered working historic landmark.
