The Illinois Railway Museum's sole example of the "Great Third Rail's" steel fleet is car 431, built by Cincinnati in 1927. It is nearing the end of a long-term restoration and sees occasional use in service at IRM. It has been restored to its condition at the end of CA&E passenger service in 1957.
