View West at East Chester Street, MP 2.4

The Trolley Museum leased ROW ends 100 feet past East Chester Street at about MP 2.4, where the rails end in the distance in this photo. In the foreground, the rails have been asphalted over, and will eventually be uncovered.

The Ulster & Delware ROW has been lost west of this point to the CSX crossing at MP 2.8. However, the Trolley Musueum has a plan to reconnect with the rest of the Ulster & Delaware through the long-sealed former trolley tunnel under the CSX tracks in Kingston. This would allow them to operate a very interesting 4.4 mile Trolley line from Kingston Point to Washington Avenue near Exit 19 of the New York Thruway.
