To the Worlds Fair.

Looking up at the front destination roll-sign of a NYCTA R-33 "World's Fair" car at the Subway Museum, Brooklyn. The cars were so-called, as they were an order from the St. Louis Car Division of General Steel Industries in 1963 by the NYCTA that was purchased to deliver crowds to the 1964-65 New York Worlds Fair. Their powder blue color scheme may have been one of the most striking in the history of the NYCTA.
