El Platform

Original Chicago Elevated Platform is across the street from the diner.

Our elevated station was the 50th Avenue Station in Chicago,
IRM got it in the late 1970's. Currently it's out of service
until the platform can be rebuilt,
The wood has gotten a little punky.

Thanks to Frank Hicks for the details.

Photographed by George Contrada, June, 2002.
Added to the photo archive by George Contrada, February 27, 2005.
Railroad: Illinois Railway Museum.
