South Shore 33 in East Chicago, IN South Shore 33 is an interurban coach built by Standard Steel in 1929 and retired in 1983. It has been owned since then by the National Park Service, and stored recently at a steel mill in East Chicago, but ownership was transferred to the East Troy Electric Railroad in early 2010. Some years back the NPS restored this car, backdating it to approximately as-built condition. Photo by Joe Stupar, posted with permission. Photographed by Joe Stupar, July 31, 2010. Added to the photo archive by Frank Hicks, August 18, 2010. Railroad: Chicago South Shore.
