Interborough Rapid Transit 824 - Branford Electric Railway AssociationIRT 824 is an elevated instruction car originally constructed by Pullman as a steam-hauled passenger coach. Dating to 1881, it is among the oldest rapid transit cars preserved in the country. In 1902 it was rebuilt as an instruction car and its interior is fitted with all manner of demonstration equipment. It is complete but not on public display.
