Ever wonder how these trackless trolleys stayed "under the wires"? There does not seem to be any lines on the road for the driver to follow. I'm assuming they used a spring system to keep the poles against the catenary. Apparently, electric power as purchased by the T was cheaper than bus diesel fuel.
