Lake Shore Electric - Shaker Heights Rapid Transit 1218 SHRT 1218 is emblematic of the big center-door cars the Shaker Heights system ran in its early years. Built by Kuhlman in 1914 for the Cleveland city system, 1218 was transferred to the Shaker Heights line in 1921 and ran there for forty years until acquired by Trolleyville.
