Tow Job

Former SEPTA #2709 being towed by former MTA #5159, at the Seashore Trolley Museum. The occasion was bad electrical contacts in the motor generator unit on board #2709, and a necessary move to take a different car out of the barn. #2709 had been blocking one of the leads to the barn. #5159 once ran as a snow plow in Boston, back in the days of the MTA. It was built in 1902, and still sees action at the Seashore Trolley Museum, in Maine, along with two of her sisters. It is rare that they get to plow snow, however they are often used to move other equipment around.
