Photo of Manchester, CT Trolley Car Barn
Manchester, CT Trolley Car Barn

During the summer of 1921, the air was warm on this Wednesday at the Manchester, CT Trolley Car Barn. Connecticut Cars 1162 & 1234 in front. Car 1162 still appears to be in Consolidated Colors. A picture like this almost makes you feel as if you could just walk into the car barn...but reality reminds us that the trolleys and the building are now gone.

Several examples of Connecticut Company cars, like those pictured here, can be seen at the museum in East Windsor, CT.

These photos may only be memories, but the Connecticut Trolley Museum is a reality! Come board a historic streetcar for a ride down memory lane to a bygone nostalgic era!

This is from the historical collection of the Connecticut Trolley Museum. Attempts are currently being made for more photos like this to be publicly viewable.
