Plowing Washington Street

A photo of a Wason built (1905) Boston Elevated Railway single truck snow plow, circa @ 1906, plowing on Washington Street just south of Forest Hills at the 3800 block about to enter Roslindale. Of interest in the background is the original granite block viaduct for the old original Boston and Providence Railroad's right of way - later to become the "Northeast Corridor". Also note the horse drawn funeral procession in the background, about to make the "S"-turn under the RR overpass into Forest Hills Square.

Unknown photographer.
