Far from Washington Street.

Interior of a 1928 Wason Number 10 car, originally ordered by the Boston Elevated Railway Company for use on the Main Line Elevated. The car now calls the Seashore Trolley Museum home, and short of a minor controller problem, the car is in good running condition. The familiar thumping of the air compressor was a familiar song to many a commuter. For many years, these cars exposed many Washington Street second and third floor resident's personal lives to the traveling public as they went about their business at home, often their windows a matter of a few feet from the elevated cars passing by.
