NYCTA 051 work-train, pulling a consist, runs through Avenue X Station on the BMT. The locomotive, equipped with a diesel engine, runs even if the third rail isn't charged, and so can be used during severe weather, power outages, derailments, and accidents. A motorwoman and conductress man the helm.
