Forest Hills Yard.

A view from the Toll Gate Bridge, Roslindale, of the dead-storage tracks of the old Forest Hills Yard, showing 1928 Wason and 1957 Pullman-Standard cars. This was as far south as the "Main Line" went. My family recalled years ago when one such car decided that it was going further south, crashing through the bumper post and the wooden foot bridge into the adjacent pre-Civil War cemetery !

Photographed by Paul Joyce, August 23, 1975.
Added to the photo archive by Paul Joyce, May 25, 2006.
