Seashore Trolley Museum track tamping crew

The few weeks in November are the perfect time to tamp track, because the ground is solid, but not frozen. In this case, the tamping is done to complete the changing of 150 feet of rail, ensuring that it will be flush with the grade of the rest of the line.
