Boston Elevated Railway (now Red line) Crane 0551 at Seashore Trolley Museum

Boston Elevated Railway (now Red line) Crane 0551 (Built in 1911 by Industrial Works of bay City, Michigan in 1916) capable of lifting 17 tons.

All the movements of the crane are powered by a single 40 hp traction motor. Thats a lot of gears for 40hp to lift 17 tons!
