The museum restored interurban car #1030 in 1976, in part to have a car with a patriotic name running for the 200th birthday of the United States. This car was built in 1931 by American Car and Foundry for Allentown, PA. This car ran in interurban service for its entire life, and was brought up to the museum in 1951. The car has 29 seats configured in a parlor-car like configuration, with two tables complete with lamps for passenger comfort and convince. Also onboard the car is a bathroom as well. At the time, the interurban railways were attempting to compete with the automobiles and rapidly-growing airlines.

The name Liberty Bell Limited was given to the route because it followed the exact route that the actually Liberty Bell traversed while being hidden from the British in wartime.
