B&QT 1001 OUTSIDE BARN 3 AWAITING NEW FRONT PANNEL

B&QT 1001 WAS DELEVERED TO THE BRANFORD ELECTRIC TAILWAY IN OCTOBER 1956. A CAR BARN SPACE WAS CONSTRUCTED WITHIN A SHORT TIME TO CONTINUE PRESERVATION. WHEN THE 100 BROOKLYN CARS WERE PURCHASED THE LESSOR IN THE CONTRACT PROVIDED THAT ALL 100 CARS WERE TO BE STORED IN A CARBARN FOR THE 20 YEARS OF THE LEASE. SOON AFTER THE CARBARN SPACE WAS COMPLETED THE CAR WAS RESTORED INSIDE AND OUT IN THE ORIGINAL COLORS.
