B&QT 1001 @ SPRAGUE STATION EAST HAVEN CT.

B&QT 1001 WAS THE FIRST PCC CAR BUILT BY ST LOUIS CAR CO AND WAS DELEVERED IN JULY 1936. THERE WAS ABOUT 5000 PCC CARS BUILT. THE SPRAGUE STATION WAS DONATED TO THE BRANFORD ELECTRIC RAILWAY IN MEMORY OF OF FRANK JULIAN SPRAGUE, THE FATHER OF ELECTRIC TRACTION. SPRAGUE STATION CONTAINS THE WAITING ROOM, TICKET OFFICE, REST ROOMS, MUSEUM, AND LIBRARY.
