Housatonic River Drawbridge on the Northeast Corrider

My parting shot was out the rear window of our Budd car as we crossed the drawbridge over the Housatonic River at Stratford. Through the massive stucture you can see on the right, the former New Haven's Devon Tower. SS 71 in New Haven terminology. This is where the Waterbury and Maybrook line leaves the Shoreline.

Photographed by Mike LaCasse, January, 1984.

Railroad: Metro North.
