crossing the Neponset

The MBTA's South Shore Extension (as it was known at the time) was only six months old when this train of new 01500/01600 series cars crossed the Neponset River on the new span that replaced the former New Haven RR drawbridge here. Quincy was the original southern terminal of this line.
