St. Louis Public Service 1743

This PCC car was built as SLPS 1743 by hometown builder St. Louis Car Company in 1946. In 1957, six years before the end of St. Louis streetcar service, it was sold to San Francisco Municipal Railway as their 1164 and ran there for a quarter century. The Museum of Transportation near St. Louis is completely restoring this car to its original configuration.
