St. Louis Public Service 1005

Among the Museum of Transportation's streetcar collection is SLPS car 1005, a standard car which was used as a "trailer puller" for years in St. Louis. The car was built in 1909 but was heavily rebuilt during its service life. It has been at MOT since 1947 and, while stored safely indoors for the past 10+ years, deteriorated significantly during the 1950's, '60's and '70's.
