First Light in Over 50 Years

While inspecting a project on Main Street in Cromwell, CT. we uncovered a section of the former Connecticut Company Trolley line that used to go from Middletown to Hartford. The other rail was removed during a sewer project back in the 1960's. This rail has been covered for more than 50 years.

Notice the joint bar in the middle.

Photographed by Connecticut State DOT, June 17, 2009.
Added to the photo archive by Robert Niesyn, June 19, 2009.
