Look down line (click the picture to see it better)

This is a picture of the main line of the CTM museum. Back in the day this line would be used for transportation from Hartford to Springfield. A few hundred feet after todays line would be an old abandoned amusement park called Piney Ridge. They would have a common saying of "If you don't have a spring in your step, come dance with us." because they actually had springs in their dance floor. The Amusement Park closed down as the automobile industry sky rocketed because they hardly would get any customers because there were no roads leading to amusement park. You probably didn't know that most amusement parks were started by the trolley industry. This is because during the weekends their customers didn't work so they wanted to keep the flow throughout the whole week so amusement parks were started. The amusement parks that lasted, survived so long because they had roads and rails leading to the amusement parks.
