Boston MTA plow at the Seashore Trolley MuseumBoston 5159 (ex Type-3 streetcar) sits over the Double Slip Switch on the museums main line keeping it clear of snow.
This car was built in 1907, as a passenger car, and converted into a plow in 1927. When not in service, the plows were used extensively for switching and maintenance jobs, a function that they continue to do today.
